Perception is Reality

Perception, a word that can mean anything to anyone. I have heard that your perception is not reality. But then also I have heard that your perception is your reality or that what you think is not true its just your perception of the situation. But seriously think about all of those saying. The definition of perception the representation of what is perceived. So perceived means detected by means of the senses. So of these two definition its really all based on YOU/ME. Meaning no one perception is going to be the same. Two people can not be in the same head. Two people even if they were twins raised exactly the same would have two totally different perceptions of how they were raised. So I am sure you are all sitting here thinking what is she getting at in the first place right? Well here we go. When someone tells you about something that bothers them, or they tell you what they see or how they feel and your only response is that is your perception that is complete and utter non-sense to even say! That someone is trying to express something to you. They are trying to tell you what in a small way is going on in their head. They are trying to make things better. They are trying to tell you that this is how they see you. They are trying to communicate with you and when you just keep telling them that its just their perception to me you are basically saying you take no responsibility for you self or your actions. You don't care what they think. You aren't explaining yourself by telling them that its just their perception. Remember that their perception is THEIR reality. Wether or not that is how you meant it!! So in closing the bases of this whole blog is this "Saying something is just someones perception means absolutely nothing at all" Take responsibility for who you are and your actions and have enough respect for someone else to validate their perception wether its how you meant it or not and take an evaluation of how you come off to people!
